Dale’s football journey started in grassroots football, alongside time in academy environments including Blackburn Rovers, Stockport County and Macclesfield Town.
He later represented England Colleges at U18 level before moving into semi-professional football, enjoying promotions, cup wins and great experiences with clubs including Chorley FC, Curzon Ashton, Ashton United, FC United of Manchester and Alfreton Town.
Alongside playing, Dale spent 15 years coaching sport in schools, working with children of different ages, abilities and personalities.
This taught him how to communicate effectively, understand individual needs and find different ways to get the best out of every player.
For Dale, coaching is about finding the right balance between enjoyment and discipline. Players should love coming to training, feel confident to express themselves and enjoy having the ball at their feet, while also developing focus, standards and a willingness to learn.
Ultimately, Dale want’s every child at FCAD to enjoy their football, improve as a player and leave with more confidence than when they arrived.
